Agape Ministries

Holy Spirit Episcopal Church is very pleased to be engaged in four very specific ministries that channel our love for Christ and each other outward into our surrounding communities. Most have probably heard the word agape, but might not know exactly what it means in relation to the Episcopal Church. The base definition is:;/';"

Agape ( /ˈæɡəpiː/[1] or /əˈɡɑːpeɪ/; Classical Greek: ἀγάπη, agápē; Modern Greek: αγάπη [aˈɣapi]) is one of the Greek words translated into English as love, one which became particularly appropriated in Christian theology as the love of God or Christ for mankind. Many have thought that this word represents divine, unconditional, self-sacrificing, active, volitional, and thoughtful love. Although the word does not have specific religious connotation, the word has been used by a variety of contemporary and ancient sources, including Biblical authors and Christian authors.

Belvedere Elementary Partnership

This year, Holy Spirit provided many school supplies to help students and teachers alike for the 2015-2016 school year.

We also provided Christmas Gifts to over 25 families in the local community whose children would otherwise have received nothing .

As one of only five public vegetable gardens in the City of West Palm Beach, the Poinciana Spirit Community Garden located on the property of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church at the corner of Parker Avenue and Allendale Road (just one mile from downtown), provides fresh produce to our neighbors in need.

The Community Garden coordinators are soliciting business partners, student groups, at-risk youth programs, master gardeners and area residents to each contribute to the project. Donations are needed and very much appreciated, so if you are willing to donate to this project contact:  Heidi Kauzlick at kauzlick@aol.com or by calling (561) 833-7605.
